Hi! Welcome to the Buttercream Bakers! First and foremost I want to start off by saying that if I can make it, anyone can make it! Luckily, I have had some great teachers along my baking journey but I am here to teach you all the little secrets and recipe ideas that I've picked up along the way. I promise you baking isn't a skill, it is just the ability to follow instructions well. LOL My goal is to encourage others to get the most out of their kitchen (specifically their oven).  Baking is a fun and delicious hobby!

I'm a twenty something year old and I'm currently engaged to a great guy that serves as my full time male taste tester (even though he isn't that big on sweets LOL). I work full time but still love to host and entertain and hang out with friends all throughout the Nashville scene. I have lived in Nashville for over 6 years now and love the easy access to farmers markets, amazing grocery stores, and to delicious and unique restaurants.

I come from what seems like a long line of amateur bakers and actually there is not a day I can remember during my childhood that my mother didn't have a tub(s) of buttercream icing in the fridge! (hence, our blog's name!). Clearly, my mom and grandmother's passed on the love of cooking to me too. I collect cook books, am an avid food blog reader, and love reading Southern Living and Martha Stewart Magazines/websites for inspiration. In high school, I worked part time one summer at a local restaurant that also catered and since then I have taken several cake decorating classes.

 I want to thank you so much for checking out our blog. My mom, sister and I are so happy to be able to share a hobby that truly makes each of us happy.
